The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) is always committed to assist the nation in any way. With the current drought, the MAF has deployed its troops to assist those facing water woes and water rationing. The MAF has sent out water trailers to a number of places badly hit by the water supply problem due to the current drought season.
The Malaysian Armed Forces deployed 3 water trailers, each with a 10,000 liters capacity, to lessen the burden of nearly 35,000 residents in almost 20 housing estates around Balakong, Bandar Tun Hussein and Alam Damai.
The MAF personnel deployed over a week ago, will continue to do so with the cooperation of Syabas and Local Neighbourhood Watch Association until the water supply problem overcomed. With the help of the MAF, it will ease the burden of about 30% of the locals there.
